Title Of Article :
Effects of Tarımbor ((Na2B8O13.4(H2O)) Fertiliser against Tuta absoluta (Meyrick) (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae) and Biochemistry and Physiology of Tomato Plants under Greenhouse Conditions
Abstract :
in this study which was carried out in Ortaca (Muğla), important region for tomato production in the greenhouses, the insecticide effects of Tarımbor fertiliser against tomato leafminer (Tuta absoluta (Meyrick) (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae)), and its effect on physiology and biochemistry of tomato plants were evaluated between February-May in 2014. In this purpose Tarımbor fertiliser were applied as 5 different concentrations (10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 g/da) and 5 recurrences. Also, in order to determine the effects of Tarımbor on tomato physiology and biochemistry; boron, chlorophyll, carotenoids, proline, FRAP, CAT, SOD, MDA (lipid peroxidation) determination were made. Highest concentration of Tarımbor (TB5) fertiliser took part in same group with positive control generally (Spinosad active ingredient) as statistically. As a result, Tarımbor fertiliser showed close effect to Spinosad to control of Tuta absoluta at the TB5 dose. There was no detrimental effects of Tarımbor even at the highest concentrations in the tomato plant leaves. Increased lipid peroxidation rate in the leaves, stimulated antioxidative system of plant and increased proline content with the antioxidative enzyme activities was also determined with the increase in Tarımbor applications.
