Abstract :
the influences of livestock policies has a special importance on cattle production because of the long production period. There are three main aims of this study. First one is to present the effect of policies applied in dairy cattlebreeding farm by taking farmer opinions into consideration. Second one is to determine the satisfaction level of producers about the applied policies. Third one is determining the effective factors aiming at farm and farmer in case of satisfaction. The research was conducted in Izmir province and face to face interview was made with 95 producers. While determining the satisfaction level of producers about policies, multinomial logistic regression model was used. As a result of the research it was concluded that farmers are especially affected negatively from import policies, that they generally do not have a new investment plans, that credit usage is increasing but they will generally continue dairy cattlebreeding even if there is no support. While the ratio of the ones which are satisfied with support policies are equal to the ratio of non-satisfied ones, according to multinomial logistic regression result, it is interesting that number of individuals in family of farm owner, ratio of dairy cattlebreeding in total income, the fact whether company owner plans new investment or not, farm scale (number of cows) and farm owner s following the agriculture programs from TV and radio, are effective on opinions aiming at support policies.
