Korkut Tuna and Urban Sociology
Abstract :
Recently named as one of the most prominent Turkish sociologists, Korkut Tuna has been isterested in various sociological domain. His main interest is city and urban sociology. Especially, Tuna has given significant importance over the rise of cities, distribution, and their historical models. Furthennore, he points out the forms and contents of urbanization in modern times. This article provides a descriptive analysis of his studies of urban sociology and contribution in that field.
