Abstract :
The Sarcomatoid carcinoma of bladder (SC) is an unusual tumour which has malign epithelrial and sarcomatoid components and it composes 3% of all invasive bladder tumours. In literature, carcinosarcoma with osteosarcoma component has been rarely reported up to now. In our case, an 83-year-old male patient has consulted to urology service with complaints of macroscopic hematuria, dysuria and pelvic pain. In histopathological study, it has been evaluated as carcinosarcoma that has 99% osteosarcoma component and 1% epithelrial component and it has been confirmed by immunohistochemical studies. The diagnosis of sarcomatoid carcinoma (osteosarcoma component is dominant) has been accepted with these findings. SCs are often advanced stage tumours at the time of diagnosis and they show an aggressive progress. It is important for the pathologists to take the sarcomatoid carcinoma in to account in the differential diagnosis of biphasic tumour of bladder for right and fast diagnosis.
