An Investigation of High School Students’ Knowledge about HIV/AIDS in Terms of Different Factors
Abstract :
The aim of this study is to investigate high school students’ knowledge about HIV/AIDS with respect to gender, parents’ education level, family’s income and class level. Sample of the study was chosen from five of High schools in Erzurum. In order to determine students’ knowledge level a questionnaire was used which has 25 questions and have 0,71 reliability coefficient. Students’ background information was also collected. Scale was administered to 468 students and results evaluated by SPSS packet program. As a result, it is found that some factors effect students’ HIV/ AIDS knowledge level.
