Views of School Managers about Primary School Students’ Misbehaviours and Their Strategies to Cope With
Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to determine perspectives of the managers on students’ misbehaviours and strategies to deal with these behaviours. The study was designed as a qualitative research method. The participants consisted of 12 managers and assistant working in 8 primary schools which were selected from Kemer, Antalya with random sampling method in 2008-2009 academic years. The data was obtained by semi-structured interview form which consisted of 18 questions. During the registration of the data, phonoscope was used and notes were taken. Findings show that all of the related variables should be taken into consideration in developing effective coping strategies with misbehaviours.
