An Overview on Teaching Process of Science in Science Education: From Positivism to Anarchist Epistemology
Abstract :
Teaching scientific processes is an issue discussed and applied for a long time in science education. But in history, it changed that which scientific worldview has been gained to children in teaching scientific process. In the last century, discussions, called as science war, between positivists and post modernists caused that scientific worldview changed from positivism to post positivism. Within the scope of this study, implementations of the teaching of elementary science education research data obtained from the literature about process of scientific method and scientific debates are tried to offer an overview of science education. Besides this general discussion, of anarchist theory of knowledge called Feyerabend’s approach reflections on the teaching of science will be discussed.
