Having University Students Gain the Awareness of Using Time Effectively through Creative Drama

In this research, the aim is to examine the influences of creative drama activities on the awareness of university students for using time effectively. The research has been realized on 25 university students who chose the course of “Creative Drama” as common elective course at Mersin University. In the research the mixed research method was utilized where qualitative and quantitative data were collected together. Qualitative data was collected by “Time Management Inventory” made up of 27 items. Inventory was applied on the participants as pre-test and post-test. Additionally, end of the sessions, a form which was made up of open-ended questions was applied to the participants. The result of the research has shown that the creative drama activities had a positive effect on the awareness of the participants for using time effectively. According to the results, the participants gained the most awareness about “time traps”.
