THE RECIPROCAL RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN EMPLOYEES’ PERCEPTIONS OF ORGANIZATIONAL POLITICS AND THEIR POLITICAL BEHAVIORS
Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to research the reciprocal relationships between employees’ perceptions of organizational politics and their political behaviors. In order to realize this purpose, a survey for collecting data on the following subjects is conducted: a: within the context of organizational politics perception, political perceptions directed towards self-interest, going along to get ahead, organization policies and practices, supervisor and co-worker behavior and pay and promotion practices; b: within the context of political behavior, levels of tactics for hierarchy and putting pressure and constituting support (network) and c: demographical qualities of the participants on individual level. The results of regression analysis point out that there are mutual and important relations between political perceptions of employees and performed political behaviors in terms of various dimensions.
