THE PROBLEM OF FREE WILL IN ISLAMIC THOUGHT
Abstract :
The issue of whether human being has free-will or not is one of the most challanging topic of opinionhistory. There are variety of approaches about this case. Until now the most common manner is; intended to searched and evaluated whether punishment or reward is back to human in return actions that in human’s free-will and in the physical universe. It can be said that this approach assured the understanding of willpower and responsibility relation. However this approach, besides interpreted verses as single, is limited to evaluating will-power and freedom topics from different aspects. For this reason what is the chronic dimension of the explanation of idea about free-will in religious and philosophic sources? Is it in question a rational approach for solving of the problem? The topic is dealed with in the light of such questions. Withstanding of in question queries, it is aimed to semtinize the thoughts about willpower case occured in Islamic thought and understanding of the topic from the philosopic aspect. Due to this, it is thought to evaluate the importance of willpower problem in Islamic thought and the issue of how it is needed to be understood from a different vision.
