IN THE ERA OF INFORMATION SOCIETY DIGITAL NATIVES, IMMIGRANTS AND HYBRIDS

The concept of the information society has emerged from the result of communication. Informationrevolution and communication began to be used frequently in recent years. With this concept, a new social structure shaped by the rapid changes in information communication technologies is being defined. Changing rapidly, these technologies have turned into the innovator of a new society and era. The internet which is the revolution in information communication technologies is being wide spread as well as the internet tools. The more internet access opportunities become easier the more users can use it thus creating a culture in itself. The people who make up the digital culture process are named digital natives and digital immigrants. Some scientists think that as well as these two groups, there is one more group between the two groups. These three groups are classified through their behaviours which they make up in their own groups.
