Abstract :
Outsourcing is widely used in hospitals for both reducing the costs and providing efficient / effective services. Usage of this method brings a lot of discussions along. Particularly, there are results that it causes inequity and injustice between employees doing the same job but having different status. This research aims to determine the relation between job and life satisfaction levels of 258 employees who work at 2 hospitals in Ankara (one hospital of a state university and one hospital of Ministry of Health) by outsourcing method. Besides this, the effect of job satisfaction on life satisfaction and the influence of demographic characteristics on job and life satisfaction are also analyzed. In this study, job satisfaction of the employees is found to be at average level or lower, life satisfaction is found to be lower than average level, positive and meaningful relationship is found between all sub-dimensions of job satisfaction and life satisfaction. Also it is determined that the administrational attitude is the only and most effective job satisfaction dimension on life satisfaction.
