  • Abstract
    The social service enterprises that aim to meet the needs of individual, family, group and society and maximize the level of social welfare provide various supports for individuals in psychological, social and economic terms. Since these enterprises meet individual requirements professionally, social workers should also be professional workers having professional knowledge and skills. The service providers are as effective as the service itself in the formation of individuals‟ perception of service quality; in fact, the need for a broader view towards the human factor, which is the reason of presence of these enterprises, is involved. The managerial practices related to the value of human factor should include both beneficiaries and providers of social services. Therefore, the empowerment practices that are the main objective of social service enterprises should be included in these enterprises‟ management policies for both society and social service workers. „Empowerment practices in social service enterprises‟ article includes social service enterprises, (employee) empowerment, scientific researches and obtained results on empowerment practices in social service enterprises, leadership in empowering social service workers, organizational commitment, affective commitment, job satisfaction and performance, organizational identification and organizational citizenship behaviour as a result of organizational culture, quality of worklife and empowering social service workers.
