LEADERSHIP STYLE-JOB SATISFACTION-ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT MODEL IN HEALTHCARE STAFF
Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to reveal the effects of different leadership styles on job satisfaction and organization commitment which are the most important and positive attitudes towards job and organization. For this purpose, a sample from medical staff was preferred in this field research due to the critical level of the sector and its employee quantity reached to. Analysis of there search conducted by survey method on 1785 medical staff who worked at private and government hospitals in Istanbul was performed through Structural Equation Modeling. Analyses results showed that there is a statistically significant effect of instrumental and transactional leadership on job satisfaction and organizational commitment, respectively. Transformational leadership does not have a significant impact on the positive attitude toward job and organization. The effects of job satisfaction on organizational commitment is quite high, emotional commitment being the major one.
