Abstract :
13th and 14th century was a period of turbulence for the Anatolia. Important historical events, such as The Mongol invasion, the collapse of the Seljuk Empire, the emergence of Anatolian principalities, the rise of the Ottoman Empire were the main big sociologic paradoxes of the century. The paradoxal time period in the region has also caused some new regulatory roles in social life. Indeed, during this period, the most important representatives of Anatolian Sufism, such as Yesevilik, Kalenderilik, Haydarilik, Ahilik, Babailik reached out to a huge number of individuals as new actors in arranging people’s daily life. The Bektashism, leaded by Hacı Bektash Veli, was one of these religious orders. Many of these leading social movements have completely lost their function and effect today. But the Bektashi order still keeps its existence and effect vividly. Being in existence for 800 years illustrates that it’s much more persistent, widespread and effective socialization among contemporary social movements in the 13th century. This article aims to examine the success of Bektashi order, particularly the conditions of the century, the content of its message and the methods used by the movement.
