Abstract :
Around the turbeh of Seyyid Hüseyin Gazi who was one of the sheikhs martryrized during the Anatolia’s conquest a dervish lodge was established since early times. Today the turbeh of Seyyid Hüseyin Gazi in Mamak-Ankara is a religious attraction center. In this work; the functions, incomes, administrators and position, in which was a part of heterodox inclinations, of the dervish lodge, that was quitely active in the XVIIth century, are mentioned. Until the XVIIth century, turbeh of Seyyid Hüseyin Gazi was administrated by a Kalenderi-origined sheikh. That century, the sheikh was removed by the Ottoman central administration for various events he involved in. He made great efforts for taking back his ex-post since an appoinment was accomplished in place of him. In the financial perspective, the turbeh of Seyyid Hüseyin Gazi was supported by the askeri and also ulema sects. The turbeh had lands cultivated, animals and warehouses in which crops were stored and it demonstrates that the turbe had also a big kitchen to be able to service lots of visitors. Also here, in the light of the waqfiyye for the dervish lodge and the tereke record of Seyyid Hüseyin Gazi economical and administrative activities of the institution are discussed. Ankara Şer‘iyye Records and Evkâf books are mainly used in this article.
