Abstract :
The Caramanian people who believed in Orthodox Christianity faith and lived in central Anatolia thorough the history, spoke and wrote Turkish with Greek alphabet. These people lived with Turkish and shared many things belonging to Turkish culture for almost a thousand year until the population exchange. In addition to having common characteristics that we have with these Anatolian Christians with whom we shared the same geography despite having different religious belief, it is an undeniable fact that we were affected from each other’s ways of life and beliefs. In this respect, the effects of Hacı Bektash Veli, an international figure now, can be seen on Orthodox Christians that we used to live together in the historical process. This study first attempts to focuses on the relationship between Bektashism and Christianity. Then, the study deals with the section of annual of 1914 in Caramanian language, which is Turkish in Greek alphabet that tells about Hacı Bektash Dervish lodge from a Christian perspective. Facsimile of the aforementioned section along with its form translated into the Latin alphabet is available here. Furthermore, photographs in the annual have the status of historical documents as they show the mosque in the shrine, graveyard outside the shrine, boiler room, lion-mouthed fountain. In the conclusion part of the study, a different aspect of Bektashism-Christianity relationship is manifested.
