Abstract :
When and how Janissaries-Bektashism relations started is still a controversial subject. Akhism, a definite effect on the first Ottoman troops known as the Haci Bektas Veli kült, is a fact that has spread among the Janissaries from the foundation of the hearth. Aşıkpaşazâde experiencing witnesses of the period, the idea of Haci Bektas Veli met with the Ottoman rulers, while opposing Janissaries wore a börk. It is advocated that the börk is associated with Bektashism. In this case, the Janissaries-Bektashism relations can be barely said of a significantin the XVI. century. Especially at the end of this century, the Bektashi sheikh and dervishes the Janissary got to keep the camp residents that consist of an unbreakable bond between the two institutions. Indeed, due to the relationship of the Janissaries-Bektashism, Janissary uprisings resulted from time to time in the addition to Bektashis. Although, until the period of Sultan Selim III, Bektashis Janissary uprisings did not have any information that they participated in the event of Alemdar Mustafa Pasha and the Vak’a-i Hayriye, some of the Bektashi sheikh and dervishes are understood to have acted in conjunction with the Janissaries. So much so that, up to the point of riots relations to act together, in 1826, the prohibition of the two institutions led them share the same fate. In this study, the beginnings and development of the Janissaries-Bektashism relations are identified and the attitude of Bektashis in Janissary rebellion is analyzed.
