The relation of hearths in Dersim with Qizilbash/ Alewi and Bektashi tradition

Due to its relation with Anatolian Alewism and ethnic-religious structure,Dersim has always been a centre of attention. However,specific relation of Dersim identity,which is common occurrence of a voluntariness belonging to different cultures,with Qizilbash/Alewi belief and Bektashi sect,has not been examined thoroughly. Such a necessity draws attention to Hearth System,one of the constituents of the region s belief. It is certain that the Hearths,primary sources of the studies in this respect,provide archaeological material regarding cult of sacred space in Dersim. On the other hand,functionalizing the legitimacy they gain in terms of social relations with the help of some extraordinary framer episodes,these Hearths require a comparative assessment together with the framer narratives. For it is remarkable that these extraordinary elements,which contribute to foundation of Hearths,have close affinity with Qizilbash/Alewi and Bektashi tradition. These matters,pointing to a common origin,simila-rity and persistence at first glance,could be considered to give rise to interaction,adaptation,assimilation or a cultural domination yet from another perspective.
