Abstract :
Today,Alewis are building new worship places to maintain their faith in city centres. They use both historic and contemporary structure in countryside. The Bektashi cult structures,which have been religious structures that performed the rituals of Alewi-Bektashi belief,have been the subject of intense research in terms of both architecture and belief. However,there have been not many studies about historically important worship places of Alewi in countryside; accept for some major investigation and critics. On the other hand,examination of these structures and gaining them into the literature will contribute to the understanding of Alewism,which is based on more oral transmission. In this study,Pir Sultan House was examined according to oral tradition associated with Pir Sultan and located in Tunceli. During the study,life of Pir Sultan Abdal,who is associated with the structure,his furnace established in Tunceli and its branch have been revised with previous research and oral transmission. The structure that is subject to this research has been discussed with the architectural features and the relations of these features with the Alewi and Bektashi worship places.
