BIRTH OF A HEROES AND THE PROCESS OF BEING A HERO IN THE ANATOLIAN COURSE TALES
Abstract :
As with all narrative forms, the events processed in the tale develop around the hero or heroine. Tale heroes are distinctive in terms of their characteristics and surreal features. The characters represented by the heroes are sometimes missed and imagined by individuals and society, and are also sometimes not adopted or accepted. In this study, the differences between the “Fairy tale hero” and real-life “individual” will be presented with emphasis on how the heroes emerged in the field of Anatolian tale and what phases they have gone through to become a hero. Outstanding features that the hero won at birth or later are given by St. Hızır, assistant elders or fairies. The birth of a hero in the tale is sometimes in the fairy tale and sometimes the hero is found in the tale from the beginning. Apart from these assistants who give them power, there are also enemies causing trouble against the heroes and their relatives for a while as an obstacle in front of them but in the end they were punished. But the hero, born in an extraordinary way, gets off in order to realize himself by destroying the ego and completing the adventure by fighting against the giants, demons and evil.
