مرکز منطقه ای اطلاع رساني علوم و فناوري - A RESEARCH TOWARDS HACI BEKTAS VELI DERVISH LODGE UNDER THE SCOPE OF FAITH TOURISM

Abstract :

The aim of this study is to review the satisfaction levels of tourists who benefit from the services of touristic businesses located around Hacı Bektaş Veli Dervish Lodge. Moreover, the study tries to explore why tourists visit this area, if they would like to revisit the place and if they recommend their family and friends to visit it. For this purpose, a questionnaire was designed by literature review and by talking the individuals who have sufficient information about the area. Furthermore, it was planned to design religious map of Hacı Bektaş Veli tourism. This region was shown around by locals and museum workers and it was photographed. A basic religious map of the area was prepared with the help of ‘‘GoogleEarth’’ program. Results of the questionnaire indicate that participants visited the Hacı Bektaş Veli Dervish Lodge for cultural reasons rather than spiritual reasons. Most of the participants are young and in their middle ages. It was also found that satisfaction level is low among the participants in terms of the physical conditions of the place. Additionally, most of the participants stated that they will recommend the region to their family and friends. Responses show that Hacı Bektaş Veli commemoration ceremonies have a positive effect on the participants’ willingness to visit the place again.
