Title Of Article :
Investigation of Local Soil Conditions for Seismic Microzonation in Mavikent- Isparta Region
Abstract :
Seismic microzonation studies show the behavior of soil layers and change of earthquake forces affecting buildings in a designated region considering the earthquake profile and possibilities. In the current study, geo-profile and soil conditions for seismic microzonation in Mavikent district located at the west part of Isparta, Turkey were investigated. Seismic refraction tests and dynamic probing tests (DPT) were carried out for 17 and 12 different locations, respectively. 4 m-depth investigation pits were excavated in 9 different locations. The physical properties and index features of subsurface were determined performing laboratory tests on the samples taken out from pits. According to field study results, seismic microzonation and dynamic probing test result maps showing soil natural period, soil amplification factor and shear waves in different depths were prepared. In the analysis results, shear wave velocity and dynamic probing test numbers were found less than 200m/s and 10 respectively. Shear wave velocity values fit with dynamic probing test result maps.
