Monitoring of the Quality of Drinking Waters Within Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi Campus and Environs
Abstract :
In this study, hydrogeochemical, isotope geochemical and microbiological analyses were made to reveal quality of the drinking water of Suleyman Demirel University. There are 6 wells and 2 water warehouses which are in the eastern and western sides of the SDU campus area and used for drinking water of Suleyman Demirel University. Furthermore, samples were collected from both inlet and outlet of the water refining system of the SDU Medical Faculty. 3 In this study, water samples have been periodically collected between the year 2007-2008 to determine the hydrogeochemical and microbiological features of the drinking water of Suleyman Demirel University. Compared with the national (TS-266, 2005; SKKY, 1998) and international drinking water criteria (EU, 1998; US-EPA, 2002; WHO, 2006), it has been concluded that the results of the analyses are compatible with the standards. Moreover, genetic relations of these waters were investigated, using isotope geochemistry.
