Web Interface Fuzzy Input Expert System Design for Evaluation of the Hematology Laboratory Tests
Abstract :
In hematology, medical examination, inquisition and laboratory methods are applied in order to get a diagnosis. In this study, we aimed to analyze the hematologic laboratory examination results via the web-interfaced expert system with fuzzy input. According to the test value ranges, (low, normal, high) certain risk factors have been identified and the patients are provided to learn the unknown terms in a comprehensible way. The database of the study has been formed with help of hematologists. An interface has been designed and published in a web portal. The users evaluated the system from the section of “how did you find the evaluation?” Thus, the performance rate of the system is determined. 495 users evaluated the designed system. As a result, 92% of women, 91% of men and 92% of all the users found the system successful.
