Abstract
In Ranked Set Sampling, the relative efficiency of the population mean estimator increases when the set size increases. However, different multistage ranked set sampling designs which are based on the sample selection with more than one stage with fixed set size are proposed to increase the efficiency. In this study, double ranked set sampling, multistage ranked set sampling and percentile double ranked set sampling designs are investigated. The relative efficiencies of these designs according to classical ranked set sampling are obtained by a simulation study under various distributions and most efficient design to estimate the population mean is determined.
