Title Of Article :
Lectin Histochemical Characterization of Sugars in Mucozas of Fundus and Pylorus of Sheep (Ovis aries)
Abstract :
In this study it was aimed to determinate the reactions of sugars in fundus and pylorus regions of sheep (Ovis aries) abomasum against to Bandeiraea simplicifolia (BSI-B4) and Triticum vulgare (WGA) lectins. In the both investigated regions it was identified that the surface of lamina epithelialis showed very dense reaction against to BSI-B4 and WGA stainings. Also it was determined the BSI-B4 reaction was very intense and WGA reaction was intense in the prencipal cells. While there were moderate reaction in all parietal cells by WGA staining, very dense reaction in some parietal cells and moderate reaction in the others by BSI-B4 staining. It was observed that dense WGA and BSI-B4 reactivities were in the cells near the surface region of pylorus glands, moderate WGA and weak BSI-B4 reactivities were in the cells bottom parts of pylorus glands.
