Abstract :
In this study, the effect of pin temperature on wear behaviour of TiN coated austempered ductile iron was studied. Wear tests were performed on pin-on-disc device under loads of 20 N, 40 N and 60 N, at linear sliding speed of 1m/sec and sliding distance of 1800 m. During the wear tests, pin tempeture increased with increasing specimen hardness. ADI coated with TiN have the lowest pin temperature, because TiN coating have high heat transfer coefficient.
