Title Of Article :
Investigation of Radiation Attenuation Coefficients of Light Concretes at 511 and 1275 keV
Abstract :
One of the factors that changes the density of concrete is aggregate used in the concrete. For this reason, concretes are divided into three classes as lightweight concrete, normal concrete and heavy concrete. In this study, radiation attenuation coefficients of some concrete classified as lightweight concrete have been measured. Measurements were carried out by gamma spectrometry containing NaI (Tl) detector and Multichannel Analyzer (MCA). In measurements, 22Na radioactive source, emitted 511 and 1275 keV gamma energies, were used. Half value layer was calculated by using attenuation coefficients.
