Roses (Rosa L. ) is known as the genus of fragrant, nice-looking plants of Rosaceae family. Rosa which has a history older than the history of humanity, due to the alluring beauty and nice- smell were cultivated and used throughout the ages. In this study, inventory of naturally distributed Rosa taxa in Erzincan and its environs were prepared. Erzincan is located at the crossroads of Eastern, North Eastern and Central Anatolia regions and in B7 square. It is a quite rich city floristic point of view. The scope of the study is determining the natural Rosa taxa grow naturally in the area. So, identifications of Rosa samples collected from the area were done. In addition, researchers collected natural rose samples in related area were determined from the literature. At the end of the studies 17 wild Rosa taxa, growing in the area, were determined. To date, natural rose samples were collected approximately from 94 different localities in Erzincan and its environs by 11 researchers. Generally, the genus have vertical distribution from 1200 to 2500 m altitudes and 6 of the total taxa are Irano-Turanian elements; 4 of them are Euro-Siberian elements and 5 taxa pluriregional. Phytogeographical regions of 2 taxa are not known. (R. pisiformis (Christ) D. Sosn) is only one endemic species of them. 4 taxa are narrowly distributed. The most common habitats and rocks of Rosa taxa, have flowering period in June and July, are volcanic rocky slopes, roadsides, steppes and grasslands vegetations, gypsum and conglomerate areas. R. beggeriana Schrenk grown abundantly through Kemah and Kemaliye districts, has very high economic importance in terms of painting and landscaping. Growing of 17 taxa belong to 15 species from 24 natural Rosa species of Türkiye in Erzincan and its environs indicates that the area is an important diversity center with regard to the Rosa taxa. Environs of the Keşiş and the Munzur mountains are the most important diversity centers of the genus.
