Abstract :
Plants are the most important biological assets that make our planet livable. They make our planet livable with their colors, smells and beautiful images. Roses are the most valuable member of the plants that constitute the green texture of the parks and home gardens. They ive for many years and take plenty hairy roots. They are grown in groups according to the shape of their branches and leaves and the color of their flowers. Rose is the mostly cultivated ornamental plant today, known as the queen of flowers and its history dates back to ancient times together with the human history. In this study; the importance, classification and use of rose throughout history were investigated. In addition, the use of rose in garden art and its botanical characteristics were evaluated and it importance in landscape architecture was emphasized.
