Enhancing Flotation Parameters of Oysu Graphite Ore

Abstract
The flotation parameters of an already operating graphite flotation plant in Kütahya, Oysu have been investigated to enhance the applied parameters. The main variables studied were the particle size distribution of the feed, pH level, amount of collector, depressant and frother. Determinations of the optimum dosages of already applied reactive sets have been achieved. In addition, specially produced reactive sets of a corporation for graphite ores have also been tested by parameter screening. The carbon grade and recovery values were compared and an alternative flotation recipe has been proposed in order to reduce the chemical consumption by increasing grade and recovery both.
