Vehicle Speed Warning System based on Mobile Device

Traffic jam caused by the increasing number of vehicles has required that the driver should be more carefull to provide a safe transportation. With the developing technology, mobile devices have been used in applications such as ensure of the traffic flow in the road transport, drivers be informed in advance about traffic, road and environmental against possible accidents. In this study an application for informing and warning the driver was developed by accessing to a vehicle s network information via iphone The data received through the ELM327 from CAN bus that one of the data buses used in vehicle was monitored on a mobile application. Diagnostic device supposed with wifi technology is chosen to access vehicle data traffic via iphone. Also GPS (Global Positioning System)sensor located on mobile device is to used inform the driver with placement datas application. Upon the highways, drivers were provided to warn by exceeding the selected value in situations requiring speed limits. It is assumed to contribute to the Traffic Management System that the variable data of vehicle such as position, speed, route, failure can be shared.
