Title Of Article :
Molarite Effects on the Structural and Optical Properties of CdCr2S4 Thin Films
Abstract :
Transparent cadmium chromium sulphate thin films in differentmolarity values [CdCr2S4 (CCS)] were coated on the surface of the glass substrateusing chemical bath method. In order to scrutinize the structural analysis, filmthickness, elemental composition analysis and surface morphology of the thin filmsamples, X‐ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X‐rayspectrometry, and Atomic force microscopy (AFM) techniques were caried out. Foroptical measurement, UV‐1800 spectrum analyzer was also used. XRD resultsshow that, the peak intensity of each reflection on the samples decreases withincreasing molar concentration ratio of the thin films. According to AFM results, surface morphology of the films shifted from two dimension (2D) to threedimension (3D) by increasing molar concentration ratio of the films. Particule sizeincreased with increasing molar concentration ratio. Optical measurement of CCSthin films show that the optical band gap changed between 2.6 and 2.7 eV. In orderto explain shifting of the optical band gap energy, quantum confinement effect was proposed.
