Abstract :
In this study, between 2013 and 2014 Atago, Chojuro, Hosui and KosuiAsian pear cultivars were grafted on to Pyrus betulaefolia were examinedaccording to development, yield and fruit quality characteristics in pear orchardsin Uşak/Ulubey region. The trunk growth levels were determined between 11.73cm2 (Hosui)and 24.03 cm2 (Kosui) and canopy growth levels were determinedbetween 1.13 m3 (Hosui) and 25.60 m3 (Kosui). The earliest flowering time wasrecorded for Kosui (30 December) and the latest was recorded for Atago (2 April). The fruit harvest of the pear cultivars were between 22 August (Hosui) and 21September (Chojuro). Atago cultivar regarding to yield per tree terms (37.39kg/tree) were found the most productive. The values for fruit weight were found113.44 g (Hosui), 326.40 g (Chojuro), the fruit firmness were found between 13.97lb (Hosui) and 16.91 lb (Chojuro), the fruit solible solids were determined between%11.60 (Atago) and %14.20 (Hosui) and titratable acidity were found between0.10 g/100 ml (Hosui) and 0.26 g/100ml (Atago). The Hosui was the most bright(L* 67.53), Chojuro (a* 13.65) had the reddest fruits, Hosui (b* 38.91) had mostdark yellow fruits. Total antioxidant values were determined between 0.663(Kosui) and 1.086 (Chojuro) μmol/g. Oxalic acid compared to succinic acid, malicacid and other organic acids gave the highest values.
