Abstract
In this study we have analysed the effects of personal characteristics on burnout by examining personal characteristics and levels of burnout. In line with the aforementioned aim of the study, the data which has been collected from 412 bank workers who are located in Bursa, Çanakkale and Balıkesir in South Marmara Region, has been used between the dates of September 2014-March 2015. According to the result of this study statistically the burnout variable significantly is effected of the Big Five Personal Traits of extraversion, neutortics and responsibility. Openness and agreeableness is not significant. When a bank employee has got personal traits of extraversion and conscientiousness he/ she is less prone to burnout whereas if a person has traits of neurotics he / she is more prone to burnout
