Abstract :
In this study, a readingpractice was put forth, by giving priority to the thoughts of Plato on Loveand Passion. The aim is to show the dialectic projection of Plato s thoughts in this novel. The unmutuallove of Yorgo towards Rabia, the impossib lelove of Hürriyet and İsmail and Ahmet s double loveto Hürriyet underthe shadow of Ismail were allexplained and described through the passionfelt for deprivation and immortality in the migration adventure of Ahmet Asım Bey and his family from Serez as far as Adana
