MAGNIFICATION AND ILLUMINATION IN ENDODONTICS
Abstract :
The aim of this study was to give information about the devices which used to magnify and illuminate the operative field in dentistry and especially in Endodontics. It was given information about the history and contemporary theories about ‘Visual Perception’, the limits of the human eye, the importance of ‘visual enhancement’ in dentistry. It was also given detailed information about; dental loupes and operation microscopes which used in contemporary endodontics as the magnification and illumination devices. In addition the benefits and possible risks of using those devices were discussed.
