Endometiral Cancer and It’s Impact on Development Signal Transduction Pathways; PI3K / AKT / mTOR and RAS / RAF / MAPK
Abstract :
Cancer is one of the spearhead causes of death for worldwide especially in developed countries. Endometrial cancer is the first in terms of incidence of gynecological cancers moreover; it is the fourth cancer type of all cancer types. The onset age of 61 and histologic grade, myometrial invasion, stage, cervical emission, the presence of metastasis are considered as prognostic factors. These prognostic factors are necessary to determine whether hysterectomy is enaugh or not. According to results of prognostic factors adjuvant therapy might be planned. Development of endometrial cancer is basically based on between cell proliferation, cell loss and apoptosis by loss of tumor suppression gene and oncogene activation. Many risk factors for endometrial cancer were identified and is divided into three categories such as anatomy and physiology variants, disease state, exposure to carcinogens. Whatever the reason for the development of the endometrial cancer, diagnosis and treatment has become one of the most important situation of women s health. Despite the overall succesful results in the treatment of patients with endometrial cancer, it is an ongoing situation to help patients with better prognostic factors by divining subgroups and determine more specific adjuvant treatment groups. Development of endometrial cancer treatment, signal transduction pathways tend to be target. PI3K/AKT/mTOR and RAS/RAF/MAPK pathways are important targets most cancer types including endometrial cancer. In this context, in addition to chemotherapy and radiotherapy, daily food products, plants are being targeted and investigated which pathways they activated.
