KORONER ARTER HASTALIĞI BULUNAN OBEZ HASTALARDA ADİPOR1, ADİPOR2 VE ADİPOQ GENETİK VARYASYONLARIN ETKİSİNİN İNCELENMESİ
Abstract :
Aim: In recent years, obesity has become one of the world s most important public health problem and its incidence is increasing. Studies made by the developed coutries shows that, 33% of adults and 20- 27% of childrens are obese. The prevalance was found to be 22,3% in Turkey. The rate is 29,9% for women and 12,9% for men. Coronary artery disease (CAD) also known as atherosclerotic heart disease, coronary heart disease, or ischemic heart disease (IHD), is the most common type of heart disease. The disease is caused by plaque building up along the inner walls of the arteries of the heart, which narrows the arteries and reduces blood flow to the heart. Atherosclerosis is one of the modt common cause of death in America and Europa. Most common risk factors are, increased plasma cholesterol levels, hypertension, diabetes, obesity, insulin resistance, hyperinsulinemia, smoking, age and male gender. Adiponectin is a glycoprotein which is containing 244 amino acids and encoded in gene transcript 1 (apM1). Adiponectin is secreted from adipose tissue and especially from the visceral fat tissue. Combine with collagen I, III and V in the plasma. Adiponectin is a protein hormone that modulates a number of metabolic processes, including glucose regulation and fatty acid catabolism. In our Project we aimed to detect the ADIPOQ,ADIPOR1 and ADIPOR2 gene polymorphisms and and their effects to dissease.Method: ADIPOR1, ADIPOR2 and ADIPOQ gene polymorphism was determined by using the appropriate protocol for PCR-RFLP techniques. Results and Conclusion: Carrying AT genotype (OR:2.056 (1.334-3.171) and T allele (OR:1.494; 1.159-1.926) are higher in patients than the controls. According to the gene polymorphisms of ADIPOQ TT-TGGG, ADIPOR1 AA-AG-GG AND ADIPOR2 AA-AT-TT are meaningfull in many clinical parameters but it will be continued to make statistical analisys.
