Abstract :
One of the remarkable settlements where natural and historical beauties integrate in the Aegean Region is the township of Kayacık that is affiliated to Gördes, a town of the Province of Manisa. The things likely to be done in order to conserve and develop these assets of the settlement and hand them down to the future are investigated in the study. In the settlement of Kayacık, its natural beauties; its archaeological assets and deep historical past; its traditional houses and street fabric; its multicultural structure; the continuity of the traditional life; the Yuruk culture; the characteristic handicrafts of the settlement that await revival and; its natural environment convenient for sporting activities constitutes the potential assets. These assets will contribute to the development of the settlement and to its social sustainability in the context of cultural economy, after they got opened for touristic usage
