Abstract :
In this study it is aimed to carry out pre-service teachers’ learning style and examine the effect of the learning style on pre-service teachers’ Physics success and pre-service teachers’ attitudes toward Physics. Study was applied to 168 second year primary teacher department students at Mustafa Kemal University, education faculty at 2009-2010 first term. In the study Learning Style which was developed by Grasha and Riechmann (1982) and adopted in Turkish by Uzuntiryaki, Bilgin ve Geban (2003) and Physics attitude scale which was developed by researchers was used. There are six different learning styles; independent, inactive, cooperative, dependent, competition and participation which are determined in this study. Learning style scale which is 5 likert type has 60 items. For students’ Physics success, their point of the end of the term was used. Research results show that learning style has an effect of pre-service teachers’ Physics success and attitudes toward Physics.
