Abstract
In this research, risky behaviors seen in high school adolescents were examined to be determined based on adolescents life experiences. Phenomenology design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used for this study. The purpose of this research is to understand risky behaviors according to the experiences of high school adolescents, to combine these behaviors under inclusive themes and to offer solutions. The study group is 40 (20 = female, 20 = male) high school students who continue their education in different schools in Malatya, which is Greater in the Eastern Anatolia region, and whose ages are between 15-18 years old. As a result of the thematic analysis, seven main themes emerged describing: Fight , Substance use , Escape from school , ‘Don t run away from home ’, Cheating , Don t oppose the teacher , Suicide . It is thought that this study provides information that contributes to understanding the risky life experiences of adolescents and the reasons of these experiences.
