Abstract :
The aim of this study is to determine the teachers perceptions of burnout according to gender, age, marital status, education level, professional seniority and school level. This research is a screening model. The sample of the study consists of 409 teachers working in 15 public primary and secondary schools in Sincan district of Ankara in 2017-2018 academic year. In this study, Maslach Burnout Invertory (MBI), which was developed by Maslach and Jackson (1981) and translated into Turkish by Ergin (1992), was composed of 3 sub-dimensions and 22 items. The measurement tool used in the study was applied to the schools in the scope of the sample with the legal permission obtained from the Ankara Provincial Directorate of National Education in May and June of the 2017-2018 academic year. As a result of the research; teachers perceptions of burnout were very rare. It can be stated that teachers are less exhausted. As a result of the research; Teachers perceptions of burnout did not show significant differences according to gender, age, marital status, education level, professional seniority and school level. Teachers burnout can be reduced through a number of personal and organizational trainings in collaboration with universities.
