Abstract :
Since prehistoric times, wood as a building material has been the continuity of use with its durability,specific heat and texture. The use technique of this material was many of change and development in time. Accordingly, the traditional wooden craft of Turkey are shaped by many cultural interaction and exchanges. In this process, kündekari developed as an important manufacturing technique in the Seljuk and Ottoman wood workman ship. Kündekari technique can be done with a long period of time with production, design motifs, wood materials, machinery and equipment selection. Each of these components are individual significance and the emergence of the product obtained, those is affected at the same rate the result. In this study, this nowadays nearly forgotten but, about the development of this wood art that used in some special structures was given. In a workshop has an average present‐day technology, stages of door and table applications is discussed. As a result, in the face of evolving technology and changing demand, delicacy of kündekari techniques that brought together the art of ancestors and craft. In addition to, as shown that construction teaching students that have an average skill level can be done as the final project.
