Investigation of Suitability of the Limestone from Emirdağ‐Adaçal (Afyonkarahisar) as Standard for Concrete Aggregate
Abstract :
In this study, the gravel stones produced in crushing‐screening plant of Adaçal Industrial Mineralslocated in the provience of Emirdağ, Afyon were investigated in terms of appropriation to TS 706 EN12620 standard. The samples taken from the limestone quarry are subjected to size and quantityreduction and size classification processes, after subjecting to large and thin are classified as aggregate. physical, chemical and geometrical tests were conducted with classified samples according to this standard. Adaçal limestones objected to this study was found ready to be used as concrete ingredient according to ‘‘Concrete Aggregate’’ Standard TS 706 EN 12620.
