Abstract
In this study, morphological, anatomical and ecological properies of Stachys palustris L. Species which were naturally distributed in Afyonkarahisar province that collected from one station were investigated. Leaf venation of Stachys palustris is reticulate-pinnate. Root cross-section of Stachys palustris doesn’t have parenchymatic pith cells in pith region. This region was completely covered by xylem elements. Also it has aerenchyma. Species generally prefers clayed-loam textured soil according to its physical properties. According to its chemical properties, the soil in which S. palustris is distributed is usually nonsaline, moderetely alkaline, medium level in CaCO3 , rich in nitrogenous soils, medium humus and defficient amount of potassium, sufficient iron, copper, zinc, magnesium minerals
