Title Of Article :
Numerical Solutions for a Flow Problem of a Pipe
Abstract :
In this study, the flow of a kind of non- Newtonian fluid model in a pipe is investigated. Momentum and energy equations for one-dimensional flow in a pipe are determined by using the general equations of motion for cylindrical coordinates. Analytical and numerical solutions are done for these equations. The viscosity is assumed constant in solutions. The perturbation technique is used to obtain analytical solutions, the finite difference method is used to achieve numerical solutions. The effect of various fluid constants on velocity and temperature profiles is investigated. Results are presented graphically using MATLAB program. Finally, results from analytical and numerical solutions are compared.
