Abstract :
This study aims to identify and evaluate the 4th and 5th grade students thoughts on problems of the environment. Sample group consists of 1002 4th and 5th grade students randomly chosen from 28 primary schools in Afyonkarahisar’s city center, its districts, towns, and villages. During the process of analyzing the data obtained from the study, the frequency, the percentage, the arithmetic avarage, the standart deviation, the t-test, the one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and the multiple comparison tests (Tukey, Tamhane’s T2) had been used. Level of significance in statistical analyses were considered as (p .05). The data obtained through charts were explained. According to the findings of this study, the thoughts of students have shown significant diffrences mainly parallel to their class, gender, parent’s education level, jobs, income status and their residences.
