Abstract :
When stimulated by UV light, TiO2 is among the most important semiconductors to have photoactive properties. The electrons in dye molecule reach higher energy levels with the absorption of the sunlight and thus dye-molecule is activated. Dye-material solar cell is made up of semi conductive film obtained through TiO2 which is sensitized with dye and coated on surface of conductive glass, conductive glass coated with working electrode platinum, counter electrode, and liquid electrode. In this study, the solar cell has been produced with dye over the TiO2 coated conductive glasses by the electrochemical deposition method. It has seen that the solar cell sensitive to incoming light and the conversion efficiency was around 1%.
